Congratulations to both owners. Tony Higginbottom bred both these hounds from his 'P' litter. He and Margaret must be really proud of this achievement
In addition to the championship show, The Club decided to introduce special stakes classes. Aims were threefold
1. to give judges or prospective judges the opportunity to gain more experience in the breed
2. To give these judges the opportunity to judge more dogs.
3.To provide some fun-type classes for novice exhibitors to get used to showing their hounds.

1. Jones' Harvidene Devil in Disguise.
Red male of good breed type. Balanced head, good eyes. Correct ear set. Well off for bone and excellent feet. Strong quarters, covering ground well on the move.
2 Sutcliffe's Sanft Jade
Lovely quality liver and tan bitch of well balanced overall construction. Correct head. Good eyes. Good bone. Slightly erratic on the move today.

SPECIAL OPEN STAKES, DOG OR BITCH
1.Priestley's Ch Railside Pluto at Quixotic
Outstanding black and tan male of excellent proportions throughout. Shown in superb condition. Very lovely head, Correct eye and ear set, Strong level top line. Good rear angulation. Movement very sound.
2.Cudlip's Harvidene Cliffhanger
Very sound male of good type. Strong masculine head. Clean eyes. Plenty of bone. Good mover.
3. Cartwright's Harvidene Twister to Longmynd
B/T bitch of quality. Appealing head and expression. Eyes correct. Good body, well angulated. Shown in excellent condition.
